Adaxio Shampoo
Description
(2% chlorhexidine digluconate, 2% miconazole nitrate) Shampoo for dogs licensed for the treatment and control of seborrhoeic dermatitis associated with Malassezia pachydermatis (yeast found commonly on the skin but can overgrow) and/or Staphylococcus pseudintermedius (normal skin bacteria that is often indiciated in skin infections).
200ml bottles.
Amounts to be administered and administration route
Cutaneous use.
Always follow the advice of a veterinary surgeon. In most cases twice weekly shampooing will be recommended.
Wet the animal thoroughly with clean water and apply the product to the animal at several points and massage into the coat. Use sufficient to raise a lather on the coat and skin. It’s important to ensure that the shampoo is applied around the lips, under the tail and between the toes as these can be common places for yeast and bacteria to grow as they are warm and moist areas. Allow the animal to stand for 10 minutes, then rinse off with clean water and leave to dry naturally in a warm, draught-free environment. Do not use a hairdryer or it may inactivate the product.
