Baytril Flavour Tablets
Description
Baytril flavour tablets contain the antibiotic Enrofloxacin. They are licensed for the treatment of specific bacterial infections. The 15mg formulation is licensed for use in cats and dogs. The 50mg and 150mg formulations are licensed for use in dogs only.
Baytril can be used in dogs, cats, rabbits, reptiles, chickens, and other animals and therefore comes in different formulas. Dogs and cats usually have tablets and other species are usually treated with a liquid (have you ever tried to tablet a chicken?!)
Baytril can treat many infections including:
- Alimentary tract
- Respiratory tract
- Urogenital tracts
- Skin.
Warnings:
Enrofloxacin is a special antibiotic which we try to protect and so you may find your vet wants to do some more tests before prescribing it.
It should not be used in young, growing animals as it can have an impact on the cartilage in joints. Dosing in cats must be precise as overdosing can cause eye damage.
