Zylkene Capsules for Dogs and Cats

Zylkene is a calming supplement that contains a natural ingredient derived from a protein in milk called casein, which has calming properties to help relax cats and dogs in a non-drowsy way.

Launched in April 2008, Zylkene has become a familiar product for veterinary surgeons, behaviourists, nurses and pet owners for use in helping pets cope when facing unusual and unpredictable situations or before occasions such as a change in their normal environment.

Zylkene is a complimentary feed that can help support cats and dogs in situations where they find the need to adapt their behaviour to cope such as  with the introduction of a new pet, new baby, house moves, multi-animal households, cattery or kennel stays, travelling, fireworks/loud noises, home alone or travel anxieties.

It comes in 3 different sizes and in packs of either 20 or 100 capsules:

75mg for cats and small dogs (available in packs of 20 or 100)

225mg for medium sized dogs (available in packs of 20 or 100)

450mg for large dogs (available in packs of 20 or 100)

 

Zylkene Dog and Cat Dosage:

Dogs and cats weighing less than 5kg.   1 x 75mg capsule per day
Dogs and cats weighing 5-10kg.   2 x 75mg capsules per day
Dogs weighing 10-15kg.   1 x 225mg capsule per day
Dogs weighing 15-30kg.   2 x 225mg capsules per day OR 1 x 450mg capsule per day
Dogs weighing 30-60kg    2 x 450mg capsules per day
